FS2004 Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, designed as a medium to long haul airliner in the 250 seat range. The 500 was the long range model designed to make the L-1011 more competitive with the DC-10s. The TriStar was well liked by pilots and passengers alike, and no greater tribute can be paid to this old workhorse than the fact that some L-1011's are still in front line service today, 36 years after. L-1011-500 (L-1011-385-3) The L-1011-500 first flew in 1978 and featured a fuselage reduced in length by four metres, an increased fuel capacity which extended the range of the aircraft by over 1,000 miles, and a more powerful variant of the RB211 engine. The following year it entered service with its first airline, British Airways. This time you told me to compare the Tri-holers. Someone asked if I could throw in a few 727 clips but I thought the 727 is a little so small to compare it to the L1011, Md11 and Dc-10.
